Male Feminists Network (MFN)-A Groundbreaking Project in the South East Nigeria

NEW Foundation is glad to announce its selection as a partner with the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development to implement the Male Feminists Network (MFN) project in the South East – a groundbreaking new initiative dedicated to advancing gender equality and human rights.

The inception meeting brought key stakeholders from the Government, private sector, Non-Governmental Organizations, religious leaders, academia and the media to deliberate and suggest ways of making the project a success. At the end of the meeting, the stakeholders endorsed the male feminists network and pledged their support and commitment to actively involve men in challenging harmful stereotypes and advancing feminist ideals.

The MFN is founded on a simple yet powerful motto: “Man Enough to be Feminist.” Our mission is to create a platform where men can:

Learn about feminist principles and their importance for all of society.

Engage in open, constructive dialogue about gender issues.

Act as allies and advocates for women’s rights and gender equality in their homes, workplaces, and communities.

This project marks a vital step in ensuring that the movement for equality is truly inclusive and involves everyone. We believe that when men step up as feminists, we accelerate the progress toward a more equitable and just world.

Stay tuned for updates on our activities and how you can get involved!
